I explored the beautiful city of Accra Ghana with my African American Friend @ExcessiveVisas on his last days in Ghana. It was a beautiful moment because we visited so many interesting and emotional places in Accra, including Independence Square, Osu Castle, Asomdwe Park, the African Diaspora Resource Centre, and Asanka Local, which serves "Ghana's Number One Local and Continental Dishes." It was even emotional saying goodbye to him after a week of exploring both Ghana and Togo. Please enjoy this video.

Where deeds and misdeeds were committed
A castle where blacks were sold,
Chained, brutalised, depraved,
Beaten to death and fed to fishes
That's Elmina Castle
A Castle where man's mind was seared
Where my ancestors were squeezed
Through an apperture of no return
Where they were verified through Atlantic
Never to be seen again by their kinsmen
Elmina Castle, the place where blacks disappeared.

The inhumanity of man to man
Mercilessness and hopelessness
Treachery and cruelty of the highest order
Was displayed in the brutality of El-mina
I wept and bled profusely in my heart
I shed unquantifiable tears of agony
When I saw how African peoples had been
Dehumanized and abused with impunity
I was at the male and female dungeons
A point of no return, a point of despair
They are hot, stuffy and suffocating prisons
Congested in an unhygienic manner
How on Earth can any sensible human
Treat a fellow human in this unkind manner?
Slave masters are indeed raw brutes
They are horrible monsters and murderers
Africa and Africans have been cheated
Today, slave masters have turned away their heads
Should we just lament and complain each day
Or should we demand for reparation?

In today's video, I share with you how it feels like to climb the highest mountain in Ghana which is Afadjato. Afadjato also happens to be one of the highest mountains in West Africa.
I almost attempted this with @freddahe but unfortunately, he couldn't climb for the second time so I had to do it all by myself.
Mount Afadja is one of the highest mountains in Ghana standing at an elevation of 885 metres (2,904 ft). The mountain is located in the Agumatsa Range near the villages of Gbledi and Liati Wote, in the Volta Region of Ghana at the border with Togo. ‘Afadja’ is the name of the mountain whereas ‘to’ in the Ewe dialect means mountain therefore, it is called ‘Afadjato’ by the indigenes.
The correct name would be ‘Mount Afadja’ as ‘Mount Afadjato’ will be a repetition of the ‘Mountain.’ Mount Afadja is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Volta Region of Ghana welcoming thousands of visitors from around the globe annually.

The latest tourism report released by the Ghana Tourism Authority for 2021 saw 623,523 arrivals with a corresponding $803.8 million in revenue representing a 107.7 percent jump from the preceding year.
The Ghanaian Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTAC) projected an increase in international tourism arrivals into Ghana in 2022 to one million visitors, and anticipates $2.3 billion in revenue this year.

Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, made several exciting announcements concerning the diaspora. He announced 2019 being the Year of Return marking the 400 anniversary of slavery. The first slave ships arrived in the Americas in 1619.
He also talked about the Right of Abode and how Ghana is making it easier for the diaspora to get travel visas. I break all of this down in this video. Enjoy!
