We finally reached our goal, and now it's time to work!
This video shows our three days trip, to Malawi.

For my first day in one of my new favorite countries, Malawi, I went to see the women of Mayamiko in action. Mayamiko is a group working to empower the women of Malawi by making change possible by supporting local communities' creative talents and turning them in to sustainable activities and work opportunities. Mayamiko Trust offers training and educational courses for some of the most disadvantaged people in Malawi and other parts of Africa, teaching them a transferable and creative skills such as tailoring, bee-keeping, solar lights promotion, and then educating them on how to utilize those skill through business and financial education workshops as well as their micro-financing scheme. They were generous enough to let me see the day-to-day operations and even put me behind a sewing machine to help them make some of their reusable sanitary pads they distribute to women. And as many of you can guess... I did not fare well!

Doing charity by doing business! This short film shows how an African township is quietly being transformed through training and enterprise. Beehive Centre for Social Enterprise began in 2007 in Chilomoni, since then 1000's of unemployed Malawians have trained and gained workplace skills. 100's are employed directly by Beehive and 100% of all trading profits from the enterprises fund Mother Teresa Children's Centre, providing care and education for 1000's of local children. A rural village in Malawi began making clay stoves to help reduce the deforestation occurring in Malawi from cutting down too many trees for cooking.

"Lake Salima" is also known as" Lake Malawi". It is located between Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania. With a width of 75 km, a length of about 600 km and a depth of 700 metres in the north, the lake is the third-largest in Africa and one of the most intriguing tourism hot spots in southern Africa. Less than two hours from Lilongwe, tourists will find themselves in an unspoilt paradise surrounded by nature and beautiful views.
