Kenya continues to play host to a number of multinationals seeking a piece of the growing African consumer market. The latest of such entrants is technology firm Lenovo which says it is carrying out feasibility studies in Kenya on its plans to set up a computer assembly plant. Lenovo president Gianfranco Lanci spoke to KTN on their plans.

The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies is looking for ways to keep the Public broadcasting stations, particularly the SABC, running. According to them, making Streaming service Subscribers pay Tv licences fees is the way to go.

This lovely white flowered plant has produced occasional purple streaked flowers and now has one that is fully purple. This is called Sporting and occurs when stress occurs on the plant due to climate or infestation stress. I found a lovely web page called Garden Hat where I found info about this. Take a look!

The Pan South African Language Board (Pansalb), in association with media research company Focal Points, have shortlisted candidates for the 2023 South African Word of the Year. The winning word or term was announced on Monday.

Pansalb said the South African word of the year is a word, term or expression preferred to reflect the passing year in language. Now let us discuss this further we are now joined by PanSALB Spokesperson Ntombenhle Huluhulu and Mickey Moretsi on sign language.
