Sometimes we desire some little luxury and decide to go an splurge a little. 😁 Sometimes we visit well-known places in-as-much as we love remote travel, adventure travel and off-grind travel where we have to carry everything we need.

This was a trip we did in October 2022 when rains were pounding the country and everything looked lush and green. Just before we took off to the 2,400kms Jade Sea Expedition.

We had an epic time at Samburu and Buffalo Springs seeing the Samburu Special Five and being pampered at the Elephant Bedroom, a place we would recommend 100%.

The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.

Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.

Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. Most overseas visitors enter Kenya through the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport which is located in the capital city of Nairobi. Kenya Airways offers a direct flight to Nairobi from New York, while other major airlines that serve the airport include British Airways, Emirates, South African Airways, Ethiopian Airways, Air France and many others. As a matter of facts, Nairobi is one of the continent's biggest air travel hubs. Kenya Airways offers a full range of domestic flights as well.
Most nationalities will need a visa to enter Kenya, including visitors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. However, you can now apply for your visa online. The process is relatively quick and easy, and successful visas are valid for up to 90 days.
The best time to visit Kenya depends on what you want to do while you're there. For safari-goers, the long dry season from June to early October offers the best wildlife sightings. August is generally the month to travel if you want to watch the herds of the Great Migration cross the Mara River. The dry seasons are also best for visits to the coast or hikes up Mount Kenya, while the short rains from late October to November are great for birding as they bring exciting migrant species from Europe and Asia.

On the 23rd of October, Growing Green Communities organized a third eco event with Gambia Ocean Heroes. This time, the theme was Ocean Conservation. The event was taking place at the Leybato Beach hotel. There were children’s educational activities, informative talks from environmentalists, local businesses selling their unique products and an all-around uplifting fundraising day! There was D13,550 raised that will go towards the protection of the ocean.

A 4k NIGHT drive of Ablekuma in the Ga central Greater Accra region of Ghana.

From the Bush and Bull Guest ,we drove on the Ablekuma Pokuase road, made a u turn to Ablekuma Abaase ,passed infront of the Taxi rank, came back to Ablekuma curve in the heavy night traffic congestion on the Ablekuma Manhean road

Branching right onto the Shell Gas station, Ablekuma KFC and KABFAM building, we bought fuel and came back to the Bush and Bull Guest Housel
