Six Sentenced To Death For Coup Plot in Ghana - In a landmark verdict, a Ghanaian court delivered a sentence on Wednesday that has reverberations across the nation's political landscape. Six individuals, including three soldiers, were condemned to death by hanging for their purported roles in a plot that unfolded three years ago, allegedly aimed at overthrowing the government of Ghana.

Following their conviction on counts of conspiracy to commit high treason and committing high treason, six individuals, including three soldiers, faced a decisive outcome in the High Court. The verdict, delivered on Wednesday, sentenced these six Ghanaians to death by hanging for their alleged participation in a plot dating back three years, to overthrow the government.
The arrest of these individuals during weapon testing at an old shooting range in Accra, and subsequent intelligence gathered through telephone taps, revealed their connection to a blacksmith shop where the weapons used in the purported plot were ordered and manufactured, as detailed in court documents.
