King Zwangendaba, the son of Hlatshwayo kaMagangatha, fled Shaka Zulu during the destructive Mfecane wars and led the Ngoni people through Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania & Malawi. Zwangendaba and his followers embarked on an arduous journey that spanned thousands of kilometers and several decades.

Their influence left an indelible mark on the histories and societies of present-day Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and other neighboring areas:

- Some are known as Watuwa, and some, in Kenya, are called Abaluya.
- Others spread into the present-day Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda, and bear surnames like Shonga and Chere (for Jele).
- Others are in Zambia under King Mpezeni.
- Others who were under Mbelwa's Jere (for Jele) are in the Mzimba district of Malawi.
- The group under Zulu Gama, journeyed on from Mzimba to the Ruvuma Region of Tanzania and has its headquarters at Songea.

As nations go, Tanzania is in its infancy. It was born in April 1964 of a union of Tanganyika, a former British colony, and Zanzibar, tiny islands off the East Coast of Africa which were formerly Arab dominated. This program explores many of the problems facing this struggling nation - poverty, sickness, education, and lack of trained manpower. Beyond this, the program focuses on Tanzania's policy of non-alignment in the Cold War and its willing acceptance of foreign aid from both Free World and Communist Bloc countries.

Chad also known as the Republic of Chad is situated in Central Africa. It borders Libya, Sudan, Central Africa Republic, Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger to the north, east, south, southwest, west respectively. It is called the Dead Heart of Africa for its hot climate and distance from the sea. The capital of Chad is N'Djamena. The population of Chad as of 2018 is over 15 million. The lingua franca of the Chadians are Arabic and French and there are over 200 ethnic groups in Chad with 51.8% being Muslims and 41.4% Christians. Islam and Christianity are the main religions practiced by the Chadians, though the Islamic religion is predominant. Some of the ethnic groups include;  Arab, Kanembu, Masalit, Toubou, Masa,  Bidio,  Boulala, Marba, Dadjo,  Moundang. There's a division between North and South in Chad that changed the politics in the country. Muslim nomadic farmers dominate the Northern part of Chad, while the Christian Farmers dominate the Southern part. Ouadai, Baguimi, and Kanem- Bornu were the three Kingdoms until it was compressed into one country called Chad.
There was an intruder from Sudan who fought against the three Kingdoms. Then France took over Chad from the Sudanese. The National Liberation Front of Chad (FROLINAT) was formed when rebellion arose in the Northern part of Chad. This occurred in 1965. It got intense when Boroku-Ennedi-Tibesti (BET) allied with FROLINAT.

Chad , officially the Republic of Chad, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It borders Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west. Due to its distance from the sea and its largely desert climate, the country is sometimes referred to as the "Dead Heart of Africa".
Prehistory
The territory now known as Chad possesses some of the richest archaeological sites in Africa. A hominid skull was found by Michel Brunet, that is more than 7 million years old, the oldest discovered anywhere in the world; it has been given the name Sahelanthropus tchadensis. In 1996 Michel Brunet had unearthed a hominid jaw which he named Australopithecus bahrelghazali, and unofficially dubbed Abel. It was dated using Beryllium based Radiometric dating as living circa. 3.6 million years ago.

During the 7th millennium BC, the northern half of Chad was part of a broad expanse of land, stretching from the Indus River in the east to the Atlantic Ocean in the west, in which ecological conditions favored early human settlement. Rock art of the "Round Head" style, found in the Ennedi region, has been dated to before the 7th millennium BC and, because of the tools with which the rocks were carved and the scenes they depict, may represent the oldest evidence in the Sahara of Neolithic industries. Many of the pottery-making and Neolithic activities in Ennedi date back further than any of those of the Nile Valley to the east.

In the prehistoric period, Chad was much wetter than it is today, as evidenced by large game animals depicted in rock paintings in the Tibesti and Borkou regions.
