Brits back Mali mission: UK to provide training and transport support for French war effort

British Prime Minister David Cameron has compared the threat of terrorism from northern Africa to that emanating from Afghanistan and Pakistan, and pledged to provide help to the French fighting Islamist militants in Mali, but as yet has not committed to a combat role in the mission.
