In Burundi, campaigns for legislative and presidential election are ongoing in an atmosphere of tension. A political crisis triggered by President Pierre Nkurunziza’s bid for a third term remains unresolved. Efforts by the new United Nations facilitator of talks between rival factions have hit a snag.
