Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza dies at 55

The president of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, has died at the age of 55, just weeks before he was due to step down from office.
A government statement says he had a heart attack, but there is speculation that he may have contracted coronavirus.
President Nkurunziza came to power in 2005 as part of a peace deal that ended a years-long civil war.
