Gender and Trade Policy: Fostering a Virtuous Circle

Gender is, by its nature, a cross-cutting issue. The niche between gender, trade, and sustainable development can therefore be complex to address in broad terms. There is a temptation to reduce the numerous SDGs, including SDG 8 on gender equality to single issue objectives, but in practice the sustainability challenge is much broader.
