Fish kanyenya is Malawi's most infamous street snack. If you ever find yourself craving fish on the go, you can be sure to find it available in most parts of the country, daily. To switch things up on here, i decided to attempt recreating it and lucky for all of us, i captured the entire process. I certainly hope you enjoy this recipe. INGREDIENTS
- Fresh tilapia (preferred fish of choice)
- All purpose flour (to make the paste/wet coating)
- Salt (for the taste)
- Paprika (for the colour)
- Chilli sauce (optional for those looking for an extra kick)
- Water (to help mix the dry ingredients together to create the paste/coating)
- Masala spice (optional for those looking to enhance the flavours)
- Cooking oil (for the deep frying process)
