In conversation with billionaire biotech investor Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong

A South African born American biotech entrepreneur and investor wants to make the country the Singapore of Africa in the health and pharmaceutical space and believes the possibilities are endless. Hailing from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape the Californian-based Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong earlier this year announced a three billion rand investment towards catalyzing South African technological know-how as it relates to vaccine development for COVID and beyond.

In an exclusive interview with the SABC News's Sherwin Bryce-Pease he spoke about his vision for the country as a vaccine powerhouse using technology and innovation that could leapfrog South Africa in the pharmaceutical space.
