President Ruto slams absentee, lazy Members of Parliament

President William Ruto has slammed absentee lawmakers that he says are not in touch with their electorate. Speaking during a retreat with Kenya Kwanza MPs, President Ruto accused the lawmakers of derailing government bills by missing house sittings. President Ruto called on the lawmakers to expedite passage of the affordable housing bill. The three-day joint retreat is aimed at streamlining the government agenda as well as evaluate cabinet performance.
