Protests erupt after allegations of Senegalese leader’s detention

Senegalese opposition leader Ousmane Sonko says he is being "illegally held" by security forces.
Sonko has called on his supporters to protest, leading to fierce fighting between demonstrators and police in some neighbourhoods in Senegal’s capital.
