Nobel Laureate professor Wole Soyinka expressed concern about the debasement of values, including language, at the Canex Summit In Cairo Egypt where he unveiled his latest novel, ‘Chronicles From The land Of The Happiest People on Earth’. The playwright also stated that the Internet is infested with content lacking intelligence and integrity.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended the Saudi Africa Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he deliberated with Captains of Industry and made it clear that Nigeria is open for business

Tinubu traveled with some ministers including the minister of foreign affairs Yusuf Tuggar, minister of finance Wale Edun and minister of Trade and investment Doris Anete. However, other dignitaries invited by Crown Prince Salman of Saudi Arabia including Africa’s richest Man, Aliko Dangote and the Chairman of the THISDAY-ARISE Media group, Prince Nduka Obaighena were also in attendance.

The president also performed the Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, and prayed for God’s divine guidance in leading Nigeria. Tinubu embarked on the Islamic rite at the end of his Saudi-African Summit on Sunday and also offered prayers for the prosperity of Nigeria.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Dino Melaye over the weekend demanded the cancellation of the elections in five Local Government Areas of the state.

The Senator said the elections were marred by irregularities, he also posted a video where fake police men were apprehended without ID cards but Kitted with AK49 Riffles.
