Watch special episodes of Crime Patrol handpicked from different corners of India.

About the show Crime Patrol:
------------------------------------------------
Crimes that tell us, we need to be careful, we need to be watchful. Crimes that tell us lives could have been saved. Every crime we hear of, either warns us to be careful or scares us, it could happen to us. Every crime ignites a feeling, 'It should not have happened'.Would knowing the 'Why' behind a crime, help in stopping a crime from happening?' I don’t like the way he looks at me', 'I don’t like the way he/she is behaving', 'I think he/she is out of his/her mind', 'I think he/she has gone crazy'. That gaze, that quirky smile, that persistent stare which unnerves. It is difficult to understand the intentions but the hints are there. In a house a husband and wife argue, fight. A vessel comes flying, a glass breaks. The husband is angry and the wife is upset. That hatred, that ego. The distance keeps growing. It is difficult to comprehend the damage, but the cracks are there. Feelings… expressions. Misunderstood, unresolved callings of the heart. The cracks are there. Too wide to be missed. Yet when the heart takes over the mind, the outcome is a mindless tragedy. Crime Patrol- Dastak will attempt to look at the signs, the signals that are always there before these mindless crimes are committed. Instincts/Feelings/Signals that so often tell us that not everything is normal. Maybe, that signal/feeling/instinct is just not enough to believe it could result in a crime. Unfortunately, after the crime is committed, those same signals come haunting.

Between 2011 and 2015, we travelled the world to create four documentaries about subjects we really care about. The subjects are diverse but they are all inspiring stories about people trying to make a difference. We sought out a marine conservationist in Indonesia, a theatre teacher in Ghana, a conservationist in India, and a musician who cycled from England to Mali.

In 2017, we decided to release all of the films for free on YouTube so that as many people as possible can be inspired by these stories of amazing people having a positive impact on their communities and the planet.

We welcome any donations. Thank you.

Four years ago, Marieke de Lange co-founded a travelling theatre to empower underprivileged children by staging theatrical performances in their communities that address issues pertinent to the problems they face.

Now Marieke travels to Ghana to see if she can inspire a poverty-stricken community by making street children aware of their talents and qualities through performance.

This is an inspirational story of the resilience of human character in the face of extreme hards

Debrah Ameyaw, VoicesofAfrica alumnus in Accra, Ghana (29 June 2009) Ghana has selected the beautiful and articulate 22 year old graduate of the University of Ghana (Psychology Major), Jennifer Victoria Koranteng as its representative to the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant to be held in the beautiful Paradise Island in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on August 23 2009.
After several rounds of tests on individual presentation, personality, physical fitness, composure and grace, as well general intelligence, Jennifer scored the most points beating Suzanna Naa Amuah Alberto Darko and Daphne Grace Allotey to 2nd runner-up and 1st runner-up positions respectively. The other contestants were Angela Effum and Matilda Hammond.

The producers of the Miss Universe Ghana stated, 'After weeks of scouting by our scouting and Public Relations professionals from Jon Williams, we are excited to present a remarkable Ghanaian woman, who we are confident, will make a bold statement for Ghana at the international event. We are looking forward to a strong presence at the Miss Universe Pageant, and commend the judges for selecting a young woman who is indeed the quintessence of Ghanaian femininity'.

According to Jennifer, she would love to use her voice and new status to support the needy in society and to spell out the importance of education particularly for the girl-child. 'I'm expecting to put Ghana on the map and to do very well. So people would know that Ghana is not only a land of gold and timber but also a land of great beauties', comments Jennifer.

Our lives, our cultures, are composed of many overlapping stories. Novelist Chimamanda Adichie tells the story of how she found her authentic cultural voice -- and warns that if we hear only a single story about another person or country, we risk a critical misunderstanding.
