Hi guys,

It's a WEDDING!!!!!!
My friend got married over a month ago, I had to seek permission from her before posting the video hence, the delay.

The traditional wedding was absolutely amazing. She Igala and he is Igbo, honestly the wedding was GIVING, I was part of her asoebi girls. The blend of both culture was so lovely to see, plus it my first Igala wedding. I had so much FUN, I danced and danced. The happiest in the air that day was greatly felt.

Miriam and Marcel, your home is blessed, I pray that you both continuously make each other happy for the rest of your life. I pray for many glorious, fruitful, exciting, and healthy year with each other. You both shall continue to grow together in wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I am so happy I got to share this happy moment with you both.

Grace investigates how this came about

This video demonstrates how to tie two wrapper. Two wrapper is a popular way that Nigerians from the South Eastern part of the country tie theirs. It is always a great outfit for weddings and events but when you are the bride, you have to tie two wrapper.

It is made with Bambara nuts/seeds which is then ground into a powdery state to make Bambara Flour. Other ingredients used in the making Okpa are the following:
* Bambara flour
* Palm oil
* Ground Crayfish
* Seasoning cubes
* Onion
* Ground Chili Pepper or Chopped Pepper
* Salt
* Hot water (preferably)

Okpa is best eaten hot and can be eaten cold too and it really tastes so delicious. It tastes like nothing you have ever eaten but it is nice.

Will you make okpa at your end? Let us know, like, share your views in the comment section below.

Tribal marks are lacerations made on the face that was a common practice years ago in parts of the Yoruba and the Hausa tribes of Nigeria.

The facial mark was used as a symbol of honour, beauty and heritage and something worn with pride.

Different tribes and various families have distinct ways of making the lacerations on the face to create their form of identity.

The Yoruba tribe of Nigeria have different tribal marks styles like the Pele, Owu, Gombo, Agbaja, Ture amongst others.

The Benin tribe have the “Iwu” tribal marks while the Hausa tribal marks are known as Zube, Yan Baka, Doddori and Bille.

The tribal mark well known with the Fulani tribe is the Kalangu.

Tribal marks became important during the slave trade era as it served as an easy means of identification for people who made their way back home.

Recently, a Nigerian model with tribal marks, Adetutu, got the attention of pop star Rihanna, after SH singer’s online campaign for her Fenty brand.

In recent years, the practice has waned as tribal marks are now seen as a mutilation and something to be ashamed of.
