Did you know that Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso, the Sahel countries under military juntas, have made a significant decision to establish an African Empire? But what does this truly entail? After witnessing coups in these three countries, many believed that the juntas would crumble under pressure from Western nations. However, things took an unexpected turn. Rather than being isolated and marginalized, these Sahel countries have grown closer than ever before. Their vision includes the creation of an African Empire, characterized by open borders, a confederation, and a military alliance similar to NATO. They aspire to achieve a level of openness akin to the European Union and establish a monetary alliance similar to the G20. So, what are their actual plans, and how will they bring about an African Empire in the Sahel region?

The prime ministers of Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali have expressed their commitment to a shared future through an alliance. This alliance has led these three nations, currently led by juntas, to distance themselves from the larger West African political bloc following their respective coups. However, it must be noted that this statement appears somewhat tentative, as a robust African alliance free from Western influence has yet to be firmly established. Nonetheless, this does not mean that it is an impossibility. Presently, Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso, under the leadership of military juntas, are demonstrating their determination to strengthen their countries instead of enriching Western powers. It is crucial to acknowledge that since 2020, all three neighboring states have been governed by military officers who seized power in coups. This divergence from the rest of the Economic Community of West African States, which calls for a return to democratic rule, serves as an example of how they plan to forge their path forward.

Recently, these countries made resolute statements as civilian leaders. The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso declared, "At this point, we affirm that whether you are from Mali, Niger, or Burkina Faso, we share the same destiny." He emphasized that these three nations are united and moving forward together. This reflects the unwavering position of the military juntas, who are determined to go to great lengths to safeguard their countries' existence and sovereignty. They firmly believe that it is their responsibility to shape their own destiny, signaling their intent to make all policies within the Sahel region rather than behind closed doors controlled by Western powers.

Vladimir Putin has joined millions of Orthodox believers by plunging bare-chested into icy waters in a Russian tradition to mark the Epiphany. Surrounded by priests and glittering religious icons, and braving subzero temperatures, the president lowered himself into Lake Seliger, 220 miles (350km) north-west of Moscow. It is the first time the 65-year-old, who has often posed topless on wilderness expeditions, has taken part publicly in the ritual

Today we will be working at the interesting vase in snail-shape.
I was thinking about the returning to Burkina-Faso style for a long time
and suddenly. I got such an interesting order: Vase that looks like “Snail”.
I tried different versions like spiral weaving, but it does not look good.
And then, I remind myself about the Burkina-Faso weaving.
So I tried it and I understood that this is exactly what I need.
Certainly, I need some more experiments
Since I spent a lot of time for making such a vase
I think it will be good to share with you result of my searching
I’ll try to show everything in detail.

"This year, in this period of crisis, I think it's extremely important (to have fashion week) because as I usually say, there are people on the battlefield who are fighting so that we can do what we are currently doing. So, I think it's an obligation for every Burkinabe (citizen) to do the best in their area of expertise to keep our country standing. It's an obligation, it's a duty. We don't know how to hold weapons. So, every Burkinabe, when they wake up in the morning, has to do their best in their area. It's in this view that the fashion industry is doing everything for our country, Burkina Faso, to stand up, so after all this we can say we made it. It's also very important to send a message of hope to all those who have lost hope in Burkina Faso or elsewhere,  that we say to them that in spite of everything, we stand up. We're warriors "

"It's very important. There are people like Beyonce who wore Faso Dan Fani. You can see that everywhere. There are people like Stella McCartney who work with Faso Dan Fani (traditional fabric) . We have big fashion houses like Dior that have collaborated with Pathe'O (designer) for a creation specially with African cloth, Burkinabe cloth. So, I say that it's very important that everybody stands up, that the Burkinabe fashion industry reorganizes, that we hold one another's hand to conquer the world. I think there's good work that's being done and it's time for us to go and conquer the world"

"Today in Burkina Faso, the fashion industry is impacted by the security issue, which has made us lose 30% of our turnover. Today this is a position. Fashion has changed a lot in 20 years. Faso Dan Fani (traditional fabric) was thicker and now it's lighter and it can be used more effectively. But due to the security issue things have decreased and our friends, those who used to come from Europe, don't come anymore because of the insecurity and that's a pity."
