Paabi was deported from Libya during his second attempt to reach Europe illegally. Back in his home country Gambia, he’s trying to use a 1,000 Euro reintegration loan to build a new life for himself. But things aren’t going well.

As difficult as his situation in Gambia is, 23-year-old Paabi never wants to have to make the dangerous journey to Europe again. But the pressure on him here at home is immense. He wants to set up a business with the money he received from the International Organization for Migration to help him return home. But the start-up capital is soon spent on clothes and distributed to friends and family. His attempt to earn money on the timber market fails. At the same time, his father expects financial support for the extended family. Paabi therefore soon sees only one option: to attempt the potentially fatal journey to Europe a third time.

A 4K UHD afternoon drive travel from Barekese in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District to Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South East District, Ashanti Region of Ghana.

From Barekese to Adugyama , we drove and passed through towns like Fufuo, Akyieso, Kodadwene and Biemso No.1

Ther Road from Barekese to Adugyama was a pleasant experience but some sections of the road needs facelift as pot holes was met everywhere.

Places of Intereset along the Barekese Adugyam road include the Fufuo Cemetery, Afua Kobi Hospital at Adugyama.

I moved to UK from Ghana - This is why

My name is Mickey... I am one of those ambitious African youths who thought building your dreams in Ghana and Africa as a whole was near impossible so migrated to UK in search of greener pastures.

But in 2019, with the launch of the Year of Return; an initiative by the government of Ghana intended to encourage African diasporas to come to Africa (specifically Ghana) to settle and invest in the continent; I was proved wrong...at least so it seemed on YouTube.

Finally, the hidden potentials of Ghana, the former Gold Coast and the gate way to Africa has been unearthed. But then I started making videos about Belize and the sort of messages and comments I've been receiving from local Ghanaians youths has filled my head with a lot of questions.

So in this video I explain why I left Ghana to UK. This is taken for a long video I made delving into why the youth of Ghana are leaving Ghana.

From the Bush and Bull Guest ,we drove on the Ablekuma Pokuase road, made a u turn to Ablekuma Abaase ,passed infront of the Taxi rank, came back to Ablekuma curve in the heavy night traffic congestion on the Ablekuma Manhean road

Branching right onto the Shell Gas station, Ablekuma KFC and KABFAM building, we bought fuel and came back to the Bush and Bull Guest Housel

This momentous event was graced by many Ghanaians and African Americans in the diaspora all pledging their support towards a worthy cause. The people of Pepraw expressed gratitude to the groups for the initiative, and for taking their plight into consideration.

Our clean water initiative aims to tackle lack of supply 1 community at a time. One of the greatest causes of poverty in Africa is also the most overlooked- WATER. While many people in the developed world take clean drinking water for granted -663 million people globally lack access to safe water supply sources. 350 million people in #Africa alone affected everyday. In #Ghana, close to 6 million people (nearly 22 %) rely on surface water to meet their daily water needs, leaving them vulnerable to water-related illness, disease and death. 67% of #Ghanaians lack access to quality sanitation or are entirely without toilet facilities.

Access to clean water is a daily and crippling challenge. Finding water is a challenge for young girls, moms and sons. Without water you can't grow food, you can't build housing, you can't stay healthy, you can't stay in school and you can't work. Water is the foundation of all development. Water is life. Without water-you can't survive.

At Green Book Travel we understand how clean and accessible water is often a insurmountable obstacle and a very serious crisis.
