The Senegalese political tragedy Manipulation of the people to further one’s political cause?

By Diomaye Ndongo Faye
The history of the political development of human societies teaches us that tragedies have often occurred when two of the most prominent political leaders in a social entity put their personal interests above those of their peoples in their battle for preservation and/or conquest of power. These protagonists begin by identifying the sources of great fear, uncertainty and concern among their people and decide to use them as a rallying point for their camp. Each one poses as the one and only person capable of leading the people to the other shore where the causes that underlie these feelings will disappear thanks to the magician’s stick that only he is able to make good use of. If the institutions of this administrative space are strong enough, this tragedy can lead to their reinforcement, this was the case of the civil war of the United States from 1861 to 1865. Otherwise, it is possible to have an outcome like what is happening in Somalia today.

These two political leaders in Senegal today are President Macky Sall and the undisputed leader of the current Senegalese opposition Ousmane Sonko. These two people must look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves the following question: would I like historians to attach my name to the decay of the Republic of Senegal?

#KenyaTravelGuide
Kenya is the original safari destination and remains one of the best places in Africa to see wild animals. Its bevy of iconic game reserves include the Maasai Mara, Amboseli National Park and both east and West Tsavo. Every year, millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate across the Tanzanian border into southern Kenya on the annual Great Migration, one of nature's most spectacular events. On the coast, historic Swahili settlements and white-sand beaches await.
Most overseas visitors enter Kenya through the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport which is located in the capital city of Nairobi. Kenya Airways offers a direct flight to Nairobi from New York, while other major airlines that serve the airport include British Airways, Emirates, South African Airways, Ethiopian Airways, Air France and many others. As a matter of facts, Nairobi is one of the continent's biggest air travel hubs. Kenya Airways offers a full range of domestic flights as well.
Most nationalities will need a visa to enter Kenya, including visitors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. However, you can now apply for your visa online. The process is relatively quick and easy, and successful visas are valid for up to 90 days.
The best time to visit Kenya depends on what you want to do while you're there. For safari-goers, the long dry season from June to early October offers the best wildlife sightings. August is generally the month to travel if you want to watch the herds of the Great Migration cross the Mara River. The dry seasons are also best for visits to the coast or hikes up Mount Kenya, while the short rains from late October to November are great for birding as they bring exciting migrant species from Europe and Asia.
Welcome to Positive Africa and thanks for watching. Here on this channel, we do all things informative and educational about the African continent. Before we come back to present these essential facts and information about Kenya for those wishing to travel to this country or just want to get informed, Consider subscribing if you are new so you never miss out on any of our videos.

The African wild dog (Lycaon pictus) is a canine which is a native species to sub-Saharan Africa. It is the largest wild canine in Africa, and the only extant member of the genus Lycaon, which is distinguished from Canis by dentition highly specialised for a hypercarnivorous diet, and a lack of dewclaws. It is estimated that about 6,600 adults (including 1,400 mature individuals) live in 39 subpopulations that are all threatened by habitat fragmentation, human persecution and outbreaks of diseases. As the largest subpopulation probably consists of less than 250 individuals, the African wild dog has been listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List since 1990
The African wild dog is a highly social animal, living in packs with separate dominance hierarchies for males and females. Uniquely among social carnivores, the females rather than the males disperse from the natal pack once sexually mature. The young are allowed to feed first on carcasses. The species is a specialised diurnal hunter of antelopes, which it catches by chasing them to exhaustion. Like other canids, the African wild dog regurgitates food for its young, but this action is also extended to adults, to the point of being central to their social life. Its natural enemies are lions and hyenas: the former will kill the canids where possible, whilst hyenas are frequent kleptoparasites.
