Vazimi Island, Mozambique is an exquisite paradise which lies off the northern coast of Mozambique in the Quirimbas Archipelago with 13 villas which stretch along the stunning curved bay, offering uninterrupted ocean views. There is also a small collection of private villas catering for large families or groups a little back from the beach. Arching out of the Vamizi seas - twelve kilometres long and a kilometre wide - this whale-shaped curve of beach and bush is drenched in sunshine and breezes. The miles of unpadded white sand and wild bushy interior are also a sanctuary for samango monkeys, coconut crabs and the 112 species of tropical birds that live there, as well as being a haven for the more land-based creatures amongst us

Mauritius wants tourists to think of it as an island paradise. But for dogs, it's hell on Earth.

PETA has teamed up with International Animal Rescue to release footage showing dogs killed in cruel and painful ways.

Workers restrain the animals using a crude noose on a stick and then give them a lethal injection – an apparent attempt to puncture the heart – without anaesthetics. All this happens in full view of other dogs who frantically try to escape before they endure the same fate. This procedure is condemned by the international veterinary community because it often causes dogs to die slowly and in extreme pain.

Take action against this cruel killing method and urge the government to introduce humane dog-population management that focuses on sterilisation: http://petauk.org/mauritius.

If you are a lover of animals, just like me - this video is for you. In fact, raw emotions of it will probably make you happy. It can also make you informed about one of the most recommended places in Mauritius - Casela Animal Park and Nature Resort. Casela is an amazing park of nature and recreation, spread over an area of 250 hectares off the western coast of Mauritius, near the resort of Flic-en-Flac. It was founded in 1979 as a way to save land with unique vegetation from agricultural development and to preserve rare species of birds that live here. Over time, the collection of animals and plants grew, the park was opened to visitors, and it became one of the most visited places in Mauritius.

You can buy tickets to the Casela Park at the box office like we did, especially if you visit it on the week day. Watch my video to find out pros and cons about the park (as of 2022)

What can you see in Casela Park in Mauritius? My aim is to cover the main things in this video, so give it a watch.
Casela Park on the island of Mauritius is both a zoo, a safari park and a wildlife park. Its main feature is that it is divided into two parts, “park” and “wild”. In the park part, animals and birds live in enclosures, and you can look at them through the bars, and in the wild they roam freely.

All the guides say that it will take several hours to explore it. Several, huh? In my case it took at least seven. Unlike conventional zoos, here visitors have the opportunity to interact with some of the animals, and the list includes more than just pets from the Petting Zoo. I had interactions with giraffes (you have to buy food for them, costs about 200 Mauritian rupees), zebras (that was during safari), giant turtles, and of course, baby goats cubs (the bottle of milk is about 50 Mauritian rupees, I highly recommend that). But let me not spoil the whole experience for you and let you enjoy the vlog.

Please, write in comments which animals did you enjoy the most and anything important about Casela that I forgot to mention.

Your CopyKat.
