Mutton curry or lamb curry (likewise alluded to as kosha mangsho) is an Indian curry dish that is set up from lamb/mutton and/or vegetables and began in Bengal. South African style mutton or lamb curry is somewhat different compared to that found in India.

Hi guys once again welcome back to my channel, I'm back with another cooking video and today we are cooking OXTAIL

Serves 4 - 6
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 3 - 6 Hours

Ingredients:

1.2 kg Oxtail
1/4 cup of flour
Oil, for browning
1 large red onion, finely chopped
2 tsp of garlic
2 tomatoes, chopped
Red, Yellow & Green Pepper chopped
Fresh Table Celery
2 large carrots, roughly chopped
1 Cup of Beef Stock
1,5 cups of Red Wine
Salt and Pepper (black)

Method:

Toss your oxtail in flour until it is lightly coated. Heat your oil in a large pot and brown the meat thoroughly. Remove from the pot and set aside. In the very same pot, fry the onions, robot peppers, rosemary and celery till soft then add tomatoes then allow to simmer for 5 - 10 minutes before returning the oxtail to the pot.
Pour the beef stock then wine and allow to simmer for 3 - 6 hours or until the oxtail is cooked and tender, check on it every 30 minutes to ensure it does not dry out. If necessary add more water / stock. Then season with salt and black pepper. I served mine with Mashed potato, you can serve it with rice or ujeqe

South Africa is well known for its Variety of dances.
The popularised dance called the ‘vosho’ can be described as a South African dance that involves squatting and kicking at the same time.
The dance move has evolved into the ‘head vosho’, where instead of squatting and kicking you extend your arms and you lean your head forward to the rhythm

The Gwara Gwara Dance was made popular by South African dance music artist, DJ Bongz, with the introduction of his hit single “Ofana Nawe,” featuring Sobz.

The dance went viral after DJ Bongz posted tutorials of how to do the dance on his social media streams, and has been featured in the videos of some of the country’s biggest hits, including “Wololo” by Babes Wodumo and “Gobisiqolo” by Bhizer. Gwara Gwara dance has become one of the most popular dance styles in Africa.

How do you do the gwara gwara dance?

Umswenko” when translated from South Africa’s ever-evolving slang derives from the Zulu language, means “swag,” something you’ll find run rampant across the output of the country’s new breed of creatives. Whether its the syncopated beats sprouting from one of the raw emerging dance genres hailing from the townships, or the brightly-lit mismatched outfits put together by spoken word rappers and stylists, there’s no shortage of vibrant swagger coming from South Africa.

Highlighting the unique personalities and platforms that make up the creative scene’s backbone, here we kick start Mzansi Style Guide, a three-part series which takes us to Cape Town and South Africa’s “City of Gold” Johannesburg, Inland of the “The Mother City.” Stay tuned as we drop by Shelflife, Lost Property, Area 3, Dip Street, Baseline, and more to learn about how these retailers and corner stores make up the dynamic landscape of South Africa’s street culture.
