Flock designed a custom branded app that hosted all event-related information. The mobile app for the Africa Indaba event helped users create a business profile for delegates to view as well as save time and book appointments with fellow attendees. The app also helped delegates glean crucial information about exhibitors and buyers, follow all Twitter posts featuring the Meetings Africa hashtag through the newsfeed and navigate Africa’s Travel Indaba Trade Floor all in the palm of their hands.

It was our job to provide onsite staff to assist delegates, exhibitors, and host buyers with downloading the mobile app. We also provided a team onsite to help with content updates and push notifications, as well as to assist delegates with queries related to the mobile app.

Our team assisted delegates with all event-related queries, and also developed a Chatbot that answered the delegate’s questions in real-time! Flock provided an interactive feature to allow delegates to vote for the awards and provide analytics on the awards voting.

Africa Travel and Tourism Leadership Awards recognises the game-changers in the tourism sector. The awards focus on individuals and groups’ initiatives being pursued across the sector. Among the night’s big winners included Flawless Events who won the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award 2020.

South African Tour Guide Thought She Could Tame This Lion

Theo has worked as a handler at a wildlife park in South Africa for many years, and he has worked long enough to raise a lion named Junior ever since it was a cub.
Junior was born with his two other siblings, who died of a disease. He was the only one left who made the wildlife park management let a handler take care of him. And thus, they got Theo to do the job.
Raising a cub wasn't easy, but Theo enjoyed every moment with Junior. Junior was playful and energetic as a cub, and sometimes Theo couldn't keep up. But at the same time, Junior was a loving and affectionate cub, making him special.
