This is a Mountain Club of Malawi weekend outing to the Madzeka Hut.
And for some of us, a trek to the summit of Nayawani South.
It starts out in the Lujeri Tea Estates.and climbs steeply up to the Mulanje plateau.

It's hard work for us, but it's even harder for the many wood thieves stealing cedar up here.

And lots of ladder work on the upper stages. Then a forest wonderland.

The Covid-19 pandemic brought with it a number of challenges that required many of us to make adjustments in our lives. Our daily lives, which include our home lives, work, school and social lives, were interrupted. We suddenly could not travel to places because of travel restrictions and that meant that this year we could not travel on a missions trip to Malawi.

But where there is a will there is a way and we are strong willed. We journeyed to Malawi virtually! That's the cheapest trip to Malawi you will ever get because it was free!
