Alisha M Bridges, Psoriasis & Mental Health Advocate share her experience as a psoriasis patient and patient advocate.
Alisha states "growing up with psoriasis as an African-American definitely has some unique challenges. My psoriasis does not look like what is in the textbook and described in the textbook as characteristics of psoriasis. So usually people will say well psoriasis is red inflamed patches. Well for a person of color my plaques were not red, they were brown to a purple color".

Oxford Real Farming Conference 2022 discussion with Mamadou Danfakha; Juliet Nangamba;
Anne Maina; Frances Davies;
Famara Diédhiou
Seed sovereignty is at the heart of the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA). We know seed as a right, a common heritage and a collective resource for the continuation of life. Seed is selected, developed and nurtured by farmers and it is imperative that it remains in their control. On this basis, and supported by clear objectives of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Agriculture and Food (ITPGRFA), and the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Peasants (UNDROP), African Farmer Managed Seed Systems (FMSS) are increasingly being recognised, valued and brought into policy discussions.
In a panel discussion, AFSA members will share insights from grassroots seed celebrations across Africa. These will showcase examples of bio-fairs, the revival of lost varieties, community seed banking and participatory plant breeding initiatives, and national strategies to develop support for farmers’ varieties. AFSA members will also share their analysis of and objections to the co-option and coercion of our policy processes for the direct extension of the corporate seed and food regime into Africa. AFSA will clarify concerns about false solutions, conflicted agendas and worrying outcomes, and share the Alliance’s counter demands.

The online world is as varied as people are varied in their moral views, their economic circumstances and their social structures. Lee Rainie, Director of the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project based in Washington, D.C., will discuss social, economic, and political trends especially among the younger generation that have given rise to a new and emerging class of networked citizens.
The conversation will cover questions such as: How have the internet and smart phones enabled modern citizens to create information and media that help them influence others, navigate their options and create new kinds of communities? Are new tools of social media - like blogs, social network sites and texting - reshaping the very environment of media and information itself?
The Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan "fact tank" that provides information on the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. It does so by conducting public opinion polling and social science research, by analyzing news coverage, and by holding forums and briefings. It does not take positions on policy issues. The Center is a subsidiary of The Pew Charitable Trusts.

For Financial Inclusion Week 2019, CFI sought out a small group of financial inclusion thought leaders to comment and take a position on this year’s theme, “Financial Inclusion: For What?” CFI Director of Communications Virginia Moore sat down with Bobbi Gray (Grameen Foundation), Till Bruett (DAI), and Shivani Siroya (Tala) to discuss the theme and evaluate our four proposed answers to it: financial health, sustainable development, equity, and the bottom line. They examine ways in which these answers complement or conflict with one another, and assess how the industry should measure its success, among other topics.
For more information, events, blog posts -- and even a quiz to determine which proposed answer you agree most with -- please visit our Financial Inclusion Week page: https://www.centerforfinancial....inclusion.org/financ
In this video, we examine the relationship between Backlinking and SEO as observe it through the use of aHrefs examining and comparing several websites in a niche and how their back links and the ecosystems they compete in. By analyzing competitors through the lens of their back links, we can construct high quality blog posts for PBN networks, and other platforms simulating the same approach that larger more successful competitors that are already established exist in.
We examine that it’s more important to have and maintain a solid Backlinking strategy that stimulates a level of activity on the Internet, outside of google what provides the metrics for scoring, that google, and other search engines require to sort through what is considered to be the most relevant and the latest up-to-date and active content.
Lots of great tips throughout the video.

This is a two part course. Although it is not mandatory to attend both sessions, and the sessions will be recorded, attendance and engagement are critical for learning. The first session is an introductory seminar with a review of the opportunities made possible by digital tools and the data they produce. It also involves in depth case-studies from Accra (TroTro/minibus mapping) and FreeTown (data collecting on walking environments in an informal settlement). These case studies will be taught by instructors who were at the core of those data collection and analysis efforts. In the second session participants are given a chance to review learning, ask questions and to apply the tools to their own work, with support of qualified facilitators (optional). They will also learn about the kinds of resources available to continue this work post-class. Readings are assigned and made available for each part of the class and students are encouraged to read these beforehand and use them as critical background.
